ayodele: trojan war

This isnt really KOH time era related, but I wanted to pass along. This is a link to a show at radio france about classical music related to the Iliad. All the commentary is in French but the program notes list what the music pieces are pretty clearly.

djeannot: The music is fabulous. Includes Catherine Bott--great specialist in Medieval music

Catherine Bott featured on the KOH soundtrack. I KNEW it was her voice I heard! You should hear her sing Handel. Clear, precise, pristine, simply beautiful! *Heaven*

No wonder I'm in heaven right now. It's the fabulous Ms. Bott with one of my favorites, Emma Kirkby in a duet!

I MUST get this Hyperion recording. *drools*

captsparrow4evr: KoH-ish Music

Just wanted to stop in and make my presence known. If anyone is looking for music +like+ that found in KoH, you might try Loreena McKennitt's albums--especially "The Mask and Mirror", "The Visit" and "The Book of Secrets." Her music on these three albums shows a lot of Middle Eastern and Celtic influences.
Looking forward to hearing about more music from everyone!

Here's the official website of Luis Delgado; songs from his album El Sueño de Al-Zaqqaq are featured in KOH-- particularly the part where Saladin enters Jerusalem.  This page is in Spanish-- I will post links in English if I find them.  He has done a huge range of music, but he's had a big focus on 11-12th century Andalusian works.
